In Edo Central, a young survivor—once silenced by stigma—secured conviction of her abuser under the VAPP Law in 2025, supported by the GBV Desk, FIDA, and Daisy Ehanire Centre. She now serves as a peer advocate, showing how Edo’s integrated interventions can deliver justice and empowerment.

"I now love coming to school because my teacher listens to us and encourages us to ask questions. Some of my classmates who did not enjoy school before are now coming regularly. Our teacher even checks our handwriting and makes sure we write neatly. I enjoy learning now more than ever."

"I am truly impressed and grateful for this project. I hope it continues and is extended to all teachers in Esan West LGA. In my school, the trained teachers have stepped down what they learned to their colleagues, and now all our teachers apply the new skills. We have seen improvements in classroom management, happier pupils, and even better performance in both internal and external exams. Pupils enrollment has also gone up progressively since 2023/2024 Academic session when we were introduced to the project.
