30 TB Community Volunteers trained on identification and referral systems for TB. Referred over 360 cases of presumptive cases to DOT centres.

  • Location: Esan West and Akoko Edo LGAs, Edo State.
  • Duration: 2013 – 2017 (Still ongoing).
  • Beneficiaries: 457 Direct beneficiaries and 15,000 indirect beneficiaries.
  • Activities: Referrals of presumptive TB Cases to DOT Centres.
  • Key Achievements: 30 TB Community Volunteers trained on identification and referral systems for TB. Referred over 360 cases of presumptive cases to DOT centres.

100% class retention among 258 girls; 65% progression among peers (up from 2017/2018); enhanced knowledge of female sexuality and steady academic improvement.

Trained 140 public primary school teachers in pedagogy, classroom/curriculum management, stress/time management, and digital teaching tools. Developed a detailed training manual and delivered over 15 thematic sessions.

  • Activities: Stakeholder engagement, development and validation of training manual by educational consultant, training of master trainers and 120 teachers, 87 step-down sessions, review meetings, teacher conference, certificate awards, and distribution of motivational/teaching materials
  • Key Achievements: Trained 140 public primary school teachers in pedagogy, classroom/curriculum management, stress/time management, and digital teaching tools. Developed a detailed training manual and delivered over 15 thematic sessions. Enhanced teaching quality and promoted teachers’ personal and professional growth.
